Providing Proven Strategies to Increase:
Leadership Capacity
Improving the capacity to lead is directly linked to improving the capacity to learn. When leaders learn to align the mission of a school or organization to the collective vision of the faculty and staff, then leadership potential can be realized. Dr. Ross works with leaders to develop a personalized “Problem-Learning-Solving” framework to unleash their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Organizational Culture
Recruiting effective faculty and staff in a competitive marketplace, such as a teacher shortage, is very difficult. The ability to retain our existing employees is an essential component of recruitment. Dr. Ross has been recognized on the local, state and national levels for influencing thriving organizational culture, and he shares his proven strategies with school and business leaders. An effective organizational culture is measured by the degree to which it serves its clients (students and families) and its staff. Improving organizational culture is a function of meeting the changing needs of the people in the organization while maintaining focus on organizational goals and values.
Student Outcomes
Dr. Ross has been recognized for graduation rates as high as 96% and sustaining academic achievement in standardized test scores including a 16% increase in African American test scores. While he is proud of these results, Dr. Ross shifts the school accountability paradigm toward “The Metrics that Matter.” He focuses on how student literacy skills are assessed across the curriculum, allowing teachers and school leaders to evaluate their practice of assessing, informing and changing classrooms structures to best meet the needs of students. Moreover, he employs effective school discipline strategies aimed at empowering students to improve themselves. He believes success is measured by student growth, and ultimately the ability of the child to have a productive life.
